Gorey's Educate Together Secondary School came alive today with the arrival of the heart of our school - our students!
Everyone was eager to get started and it was lovely to meet families in person. After an outside assembly where they were welcomed by their enthusiastic team of teachers, students were introduced to their classmates and began their interactive induction programme to ease into their post primary education.
A tree planting ceremony marked this momentous occasion for our students and for our town. An Ash and Birch tree, representing the two classes, were planted by the students and we will watch them thrive and grow into strong, resilient, well-grounded entities, just like our students themselves.
Everyone enjoyed the day and teachers were impressed with the engagement and courage shown on day 1! There were smiling faces from parents, staff and students alike as we look forward to the rest of the year and the journey ahead.
Gorey ETSS feel privileged to be a part of what we know is the start of a wonderful journey for all involved. Thank you to the parents/guardians and all the Gorey Community for your support.
